VP Professional Services

Position Overview and Responsibilities:

Bliss Integrated Communication has an immediate opening for a VP to join our Professional Services team. The candidate will have the opportunity to oversee integrated marketing activities for a major account, participate in strategic planning and content creation initiatives, help develop both traditional and social media relations strategies, and mentor and train a dedicated account team.

The role is focused on B2B communications for one particular client in the Professional Services sector and requires 8-10 years of integrated marketing and/or public relations experience including writing (byline articles, speeches, whitepapers, etc.), analyzing research and survey results, content creation (infographics, video, etc.), media relations, and digital strategy. Experience working with Professional or Financial Services (accounting, consulting, private equity, legal, banking etc.) clients is required. Industry expertise is also a plus (healthcare, nonprofit, technology and life sciences, retail and consumer products etc.)

Ideal candidates will be strong counselors and writers, creative problem-solvers, excellent multi-taskers, and enjoy working collaboratively with others. Responsibilities include:

  • Serving a senior strategist for a multi-disciplinary program that cuts across many industries and service sectors
  • Researching and leveraging external industry and competitive insights to counsel client on program strategy and recommendations
  • Acting as a senior lead day-to-day on several business and industry lines
  • Working collaboratively and productively with teams and professionals at all levels while remaining accountable for key client deliverables
  • Developing creative ways to engage with clients’ key audiences through digital and social media strategies
  • Strategizing and overseeing the creation of content marketing materials, including infographics, eBooks and videos
  • Leveraging excellent writing/editing skills in the development of media pitches, announcements, plans and thought leadership collateral
  • Helping to design research initiatives, analyze findings and craft resulting narratives
  • Mentoring and training junior staff members, helping them to leverage their strengths and develop integrated marketing core competencies
  • Working collaboratively with other senior leaders on the team.

Qualification requirements include:

  • 8-10+ years of integrated marketing and/or PR experience (at least some of which was in the Professional Services space)
  • Exceptional writing and communications skills
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills; able to work quickly, prioritizing multiple assignments
  • Strong sense of client service
  • An understanding of the Professional Services industry and trends affecting it; challenges and opportunities for marketing within it
  • Intellectual curiosity, a passion for learning about a rapidly evolving industry, and a positive attitude!

AS/SAE Professional Services

Position Overview and Responsibilities:

Bliss Integrated Communication has an immediate opening for an Account Supervisor or Senior Account Executive to join our Professional Services team. The candidate will have the opportunity to act as the driver, as well as team member, for several lines of business for a major account, participate in strategic planning and content creation initiatives and help develop both traditional and social media relations strategies. Mentoring and training junior staff members, helping them to leverage their strengths and develop integrated marketing core competencies will also be required at this level.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Serve as the day-to-day client contact for several industries and lines of business managing both strategy and execution
  • Develop and edit content (bylined articles, internal education and external marketing collateral and other press materials)
  • Develop media relations strategies, goals, media targets and pitch angles, pitch the media
  • Serve as information leader on client teams, demonstrating industry, cultural or media-driven knowledge that directly and indirectly affects the client
  • Route articles of interest to account teams and client
  • Assist in the development of long-term client plans and program recommendations and developing budgets
  • Participate with senior team leaders in client presentations
  • Coach/mentor junior staff and review their work for accuracy
  • Aid in the research and development of new business proposals

Qualification requirements include:

  • BA or BS in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism or related field
  • Minimum of 3-4 years PR agency experience required
  • Experience managing accounts and strong client interactions
  • Experience working with accounting, legal, consulting and industries such as healthcare a plus
  • Keen understanding of the digital media role in integrated communication strategies
  • Strong media relations skills
  • Works effectively within a team, demonstrating coordination, communication and problem-solving contribution
  • Flexible approach; has the ability to change priorities against changing client and team needs

Account Executive, Professional & Financial Services

Position Overview and Responsibilities:

Bliss has immediate openings for two Account Executives to join our Professional and Financial Services teams. Candidates will have the opportunity to work alongside senior staff on integrated marketing activities.

Candidates must have 1 to 2 years of PR and marketing experience, either in-house or at an agency. Based on level of experience, candidates will have the opportunity to oversee and manage account projects and individual business lines.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Drive media relations efforts, including building media lists, pitching and securing coverage
  • Develop social shares for various channels and platforms and advise on strategy
  • Assist with content development efforts, including both written (e.g., byline, blogs) and visual content (e.g., infographics, collateral)
  • Research and analyze data to uncover compelling insights and package for key audiences
  • Manage projects, ensuring the team meets deadlines and produces high quality work
  • Manage certain administrative tasks, including media roundups, news clippings and client reporting
  • Coach/mentor junior staff
  • Participate with senior team leaders in client presentations

Qualification requirements include:

  • BA or BS in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism or related field
  • Minimum 1-2 years PR experience, either in-house or agency
  • Strong media relations and writing skills
  • Effective team player, demonstrating coordination, communication and problem-solving skills
  • Highly accountable for individual and team work

Associate Account Executive

Bliss Integrated Communication is currently hiring for our entry-level, Associate Account Executive position.

Candidates must be eager to learn, be able to collaborate within teams and have a strong interest in the financial and professional services industries. Excellent writing skills are required and proficiency in digital and social content marketing is a plus.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate media relations efforts, including media list development, pitch writing and securing coverage
  • Assist with social shares development
  • Participate in content development efforts
  • Help facilitate client research requests
  • Manage monthly/quarterly client reporting
  • Oversee general account admin

Qualification requirements include:

  • BA or BS in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism or related field. Prospective hires from professional backgrounds outside of marketing and communication, however, are also welcome
  • Smart, determined, energetic and have a desire to learn about and work on strategic communication campaigns
  • Strong writing skills
  • Experience with PR/marketing campaigns is a plus

Internship Program

Bliss Integrated Communication offers an internship program designed to provide current or recently-graduated college students with the opportunity to get hands-on PR and marketing experience in a fast-paced, interactive environment.

At Bliss, we treat our interns as full-fledged members of our team working across our Professional Services, Financial Services and Healthcare Practice Groups. Interns have the opportunity to learn about and participate in our full range of services, including:

•    Content creation
•    Digital and social media marketing
•    Research and data analysis

In addition, interns can take advantage of the numerous professional development and training opportunities we offer throughout the year, including seminars on social media, media relations, writing for PR and marketing, the latest in research and analytics tools, and more.

Bliss offers a modest stipend for interns, and current college students may be eligible to obtain course credit for their participation the program. Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) is ideal, but we can and do make exceptions for highly-qualified part-time candidates.
